The article states that Melanie Joy Fontana and her husband wrote BTS' Boy With Luv. THAT IS NOT TRUE. Only one line of the song can be attributed to Melanie, no lines can be attributed to her husband. The song was nearly fully written by BTS member RM as stated by himself during his post-album discussion. Here is the video where he stated this: https://www.vlive.tv/video/125174 Banekatie (talk) 02:58, 17 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Per the source in the article, I added the detail Fontana and Schulz wrote the song in English, and then some of the members of BTS reinterpreted the lyrics into Korean. A self-published source (that video) cannot be used to support claims about a third person (Fontana) per WP: BLPSPS. Schazjmd (talk) 14:36, 17 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
According to WP: INTERVIEW, interviews should be treated like self-published material, and WP: BLPSPS does not usually allow such sources to be used for claims about other living people. Ivanacccp (talk) 02:45, 18 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

her husband and manager, Justin Garza, states that he had written every single word of BTS' member V's self composed song sweet night after it had broken several records recently .he said he wrote it in English and then translated it to Korean even though it is an English song — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.96.212.41 (talk) 18:10, 18 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Elimination of information based in targeted harassment from unreliable sources

edit

Exclusivehollywood (source 21), Koreaboo (source 23) Meaww (source 25) do NOT follow the wikipedia biographies of living persons policy as it is tabloid journalism that is not to be trusted and has consistently published incorrect and libelous information.

Article 20 from “indigo music” does not contain any information that the information before it is crediting it to.

The articles cited as citation number 24 as well as citation 27 are no longer in existence.

Additionally, labeling what took place with Melanie as a “controversy” is not accurate nor is it warranted for it to exist as it’s own full section.

All of the information above makes it very clear that this section was added by K-pop superfans whose sole intention was to attack Melanie Fontana rather than provide accurate information and accounts of what occurred.

Without the above aforementioned information which DOES NOT meet the biographies of living persons policy, the section fails to stand on its own and should be eliminated.

I would be open to it potentially garnering consideration as a smaller blurb in a career or personal life section, but do also believe that is not accurate or necessary. BWC12603 (talk) 00:16, 21 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
