- I am afraid we do not have any truly RS on the subject. But then we do not need it as the fact that Kiev was then in Russia is universally known. I agree to drop "Russian" in the lede as it is ambiguous when talking of writers as the main point is what language he wrote in, which was Yiddish.Axxxion (talk) 16:21, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
