Actually, the default name of this noble family was "of Hradec". Neuhaus is german name for Hradec. It would make sense, if this family lived through 17th and 18th century, when czech language was gradually relegated to low prestige dialect. In this case, there is little doubt that the family would eventually call themselves "Neuhaus". But the family went extinct in 1604, i. e. in time when czech language was still of high prestige and actually the main official language in Kingdom of Bohemia. And of course, this family spoke and wrote in czech language.
