Table color edit

Why are some of the numbers in the table red? -- Beland (talk) 04:27, 28 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

It means that the figures don't meet the 10-million criterion to be a megacity.Bluesatellite (talk) 04:35, 28 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Metropolitan Area, Not City edit

This states at the very beginning of the article that a megacity is defined as a "city" with a population of 10 million people or more. That is not correct. A megacity is defined as a "metropolitan area" of 10 million people or more, not a "city" of 10 million people or more. New York City, Los Angeles, London, Paris, none of these cities have a population of 10 million people. But they are megacities because their metropolitan populations are at least 10 million people. This is an internet encyclopedia so correct information must always be given. This needs to be changed in the article, which has been locked. 174.78.6.108 (talk) 18:49, 7 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

In this phrase:

three out of five, or sixty percent, of people

Please replace "sixty percent" with "60%". Other spots in the same paragraph use "47%" and "90%", not "forty-seven percent" and "ninety percent". 123.51.107.94 (talk) 02:11, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
