Madirigiria is an ancient city in North central province in Sri Lanka. The ancient building Madirigiria watadageya is located in this area. In period of polonnaruwa the most popular Kingdom in Sri Lanka.the fist king in there was vijayabahu(1055_1110)in polonnaruwa. Madirigiriya watadage is locate in minnariya from 21 kilometers to north .it was called on the period of anuradhapura is "MANDHLAGIRI" it was built by king 6th Agrhabhodhi watadage is the most important thing of madirigiriya.
