Pageant has a disctinctly diiferent connotation from procession and should be given this page. Beauty pageant very seldom appears without the "beauty" part, and the magazine is of even lesser significance than either of these more universal terms. ----

Etymology edit

The word pageant, in an early sense found in Middle English, meant the mobile stage or scene upon which plays were presented in the Medieval period (apparently from one of the Medieval Latin meanings of pagina). Nuttyskin (talk) 20:36, 27 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
