First foreigner edit

Seems that both William Stephenson and Edgar Sengier have been called "the first person, not an American citizen" to receive the medal. Are the dates known? Ssscienccce (talk) 04:01, 20 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Award to Sir Alexander Fleming edit

I notice the discoverer of penicillin is not currently on the list of Notable Recipients, but I notice the Medal is among his awards illustrated without identification in a picture in his Wikipedia article. It does appear in his biographical sketches in the British 'Who's Who' and 'Kelly's Handbook to the Titled, Landed and Official Classes' during his lifetime. It would be helpful if someone could find a date it was awarded, but it must have been after the award to William Stephenson in 1946, who was the first citizen of the British Empire to receive the Medal.Cloptonson (talk) 15:20, 2 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
