Merger proposal

edit

This is a limited edition EP that won't have much information or notability, and the article will doubtfully be expanded beyond a stub class. Fezmar9 (talk) 06:41, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

It has a lot of notability between the fans of Manchester Orchestra, it is a sepreate release from the album and I do not know think it should be merged. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TMS2787 (talkcontribs) 07:32, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

It maybe a notable release to fans, but not notable enough to hold up its own wiki page. Please read WP:NALBUMS. The article will more or less be copied and pasted into Mean Everything to Nothing. Fezmar9 (talk) 17:56, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
What exactly is the merger proposal? ƒingersonRoids 18:51, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, the merge templates were removed before the discussion had really begun. I was proposing that the limited edition Fourteen Years of Excellence EP be merged here. The release is not notable enough to have its own article, and this is the most relevant page to merge it with. Fezmar9 (talk) 18:59, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Why is not notable enough? It is a pretty notable release for Record Store Day as they are an emerging act and once they get bigger new fans are going to want to know and shouild know about it. Just because you don't think it is "notable" does not mean it's not notable, because it def is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TMS2787 (talkcontribs) 08:17, 14 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
"Emerging"? That's another word for WP:UPANDCOMING. --Orange Mike | Talk 14:57, 14 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
I agree that the articles should probably be merged. Considering it's of such limited release, it's not even really a full-blown EP release. It does in fact come with the full length album, and you can't get it any other way. I second the proposal. WtfitsRICK (talk) 15:58, 14 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
No, it does not come with the full length. It comes by it self at select indie stores a FEW days before the album officialy comes out. It is seem as compaion to it because it using similar cover art and has a different version of the tracks. It is NOT coming with the album. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TMS2787 (talkcontribs) 20:44, 14 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

It does not come with the album, the album is not a 2-disc collection. It is a stand alone EP that comes in a seprate slip case, has it's own cover art and is released a few days before in select indie shops around the country. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TMS2787 (talkcontribs) 14:57, 17 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
The album is a freebie when Mean Everything to Nothing is purchased at select independent music stores for Record Store Day. Regardless of how the EP is obtained, it still fails wikipedia notability guidelines. Any sources on the EP do not state more than a release date and track listing and maybe display the cover art.
