The editors correctly note that a major contributor to this article may have close connection with the subject. Robin Wood is probably the "major contributor" mentioned. Wood is an expert in the field of historically accurate woodworking techniques, teaches workshops, represents the traditional crafts movement in England, and authored a book on the subject of historical bowls and drinking vessels; most of the content of this article would likely be quoted from his book or blog in any case. I would suggest that the editors allow the article -- and its footnotes pointing to Wood as an online source -- to stand as it is and allow content and additional source material to accumulate naturally.
