editIs there a Mayakovskaya station in any other Metro system? If no, should we move this article to Mayakovskaya (Metro), or even to Mayakovskaya? Goudzovski 19:22, 22 September 2007 (UTC).
- I found the answer: of course there's one in Saint Petersurg. No move necessary. Goudzovski 19:28, 22 September 2007 (UTC).

What existed before?
editThe article says: "For the first time in the world, instead of having the traditional three-neath pylon station layout, the engineers were able to overlap the vault space and support it with two sets of colonnades on each side. This gave birth to a new column type design and Mayakovskaya was the first station to show this."
This refers to the Soviet metro history only. However, there are stations in the world (for instance in New York), that have been built before 1938 and still are deep column stations, rather than pylon ones. What type are they? What station types existed in the world before 1938? Vcohen (talk) 11:40, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
