UK change of power

The appointment of David Cameron as Prime Minister was the result of an orderly, peaceful change of power. This event is not notable in this context. Such events occur as they are designed to occur and do not represent any significant social movement or milestone that has a long term impact. This is similar to the change of President in the US, which is never notable enough to be included in a date article unless it represents a particular milestone such as the first black or the first woman. If the argument is to be made that this does represent a significant movement, that movement cannot be judged as important until it is reflected upon in history. This event should be removed. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 21:01, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Removal of entries

In accordance with the guidelines, I've started weeding the Births and Deaths sections by removing entries for celebrities with 0-4 articles in other languages. Where possible, these have been transferred to the relevant Year in Topic articles. As well as making the lists more manageable, this will help with the globalization effort.Deb (talk) 07:28, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
