A little early? edit

This article seems a little bit premature. The announcement date of this ride has been set to September 7th by the park. Until then, there are only 5 known about this ride and everything else is speculative at best. I was going to create an article once the ride was announced, but now that this is here, I will edit it.--Coaster1983 14:15, 29 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Terra Coaster edit

I've seen the Maverick advertised on television and in print as the world's first 'terra coaster', but I can't find any information about that on the website. Anyone know what this means? PolarisSLBM 16:37, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

My guess is that Terra Coaster refers to the the fact that most of Maverick's course is very low to the ground. I have not seen a definition for it which leads me to believe that it is just a marketing gimmick with not much substance behind it. --Coaster1983 04:11, 19 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

New Picture edit

I have a new picture i uploaded to Wikimedia Commons of Maverick in operation. Its under this same user name on that. I don't know how to put in pictures so if anybody knows they can use it. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Maverick.jpg Stealthpirate07 02:43, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Before we can add the image to the article, the copyright status of the image must be determined. If you created the image, then all you need to do is add the {{PD-Self}} tag to release the image to public domain. --Coaster1983 11:34, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

New Images edit

Just wanted to know if anyone liked or disliked any of the images I uploaded. --Cmedinger (talk) 19:31, 5 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Overall, I do like the new photographs. The previous lift hill photograph in the infobox had a support in the middle of the photograph which was distracting. Your photograph, although the lighting is worse, is better because the tree that is in the photograph does not distract from the lift hill as much Coaster1983 (talk) 01:03, 6 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

New main image edit

Comments edit

  • "On the week of August 12, 2006, the first track segments were installed", ref 9 doesn't support this.
    • I fixed it, it was supposed to say August 16.--Astros4477 (talk) 20:37, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • "Track installion was completed around October 26, 2006", might be worth looking on the internet for a more precise date.
  • "On May 17, 2007, the heartline roll was removed and was replaced with an s-curve five days later", ref 13 doesn't say that the s-curve was placed five days later.
  • Can you please fix the youtube links that lead to the mobile site.
  • "Brett - Brass, Brent - Gold, Ben - Gunmetal, Beau - Gold, Bart - Silver, and Sam - Copper", ref 3 only supports the colours, not the names.
  • "The passenger height restriction was initially set to a minimum of 48 inches (120 cm). In May 2007, the height restriction was raised to a minimum of 52 inches (130 cm) per recommendations made by Intamin", ref 15 doesn't mention the original 48 inch height requirement.

These are the things that need to be fixed. The quality of the article (as in the way it is written) is very good. The article will be on hold for 7 days.--Dom497 (talk) 20:26, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

I have fixed everything.--Astros4477 (talk) 21:01, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
I have passed the article.--Dom497 (talk) 19:28, 19 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
