Charitable Interests edit

I have never done this so please excuse any errors in Wikipedia's guidelines and correct me so I learn for next time.

Under Charitable interests can we add the following to the end of this section please:

Collaboration House :

The concept of Collaboration House was born out of discussions in 2008 between Maurice Ostro and then mayor, Boris Johnson. Maurice was interested in collaboration with companies, sometimes even competitors, to deliver the highest quality product and service at the lowest cost. This same ethos was transposed to his charitable activities and he was looking for ways to maximise the impact of charitable organisations at a time of increasing need and reduced resources.

Maurice suggested to Mayor Johnson that bringing together the many charities from London’s faith communities to meet each other and discuss potential collaboration would help deliver more impactful programs while also helping to facilitate social integration between these diverse faiths and cultures. Thus was born the Mayor’s Interfaith Conference under the auspices of the Greater London Authority with Maurice as the Chair of the organising committee. It was followed by another Mayor’s Conference entitled ‘Reclaiming London Together’ in the wake of the London riots. The process of organising the first Conference led to the establishment of the Faiths Forum for London (FFL), which was launched at that event in 2011 and the serach of a multi purpose building.

(Redacted)

Although the current focus is on the interfaith sector, this same model can be applied to most other charitable areas. If successful, this type of building could become a template for charitable hubs around the world.

Hi Assistantostro, and thank you for your suggestions. I have removed part of your draft, as it appears to be copied or closely paraphrased from this website [1]. Wikipedia is an open-source project: we are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License, which permits our readers to reuse our text for whatever purpose they desire. As a result, copyrighted text for which we lack permission to reuse is incompatible with our free license, and cannot be included in our articles except under extremely limited circumstances as detailed in the Non-free content policy. If you or your organization holds the copyright to your proposed text and is willing to release it under a free license, it is possible to grant Wikipedia permission for reuse by following the instructions at Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries. But the preferred solution is to simply rewrite the text in your own words, which has the added benefit of maintaining a consistent editorial tone across Wikipedia's articles.
The remainder of your submission should be written more concisely and must be attributed to reliable sources. As this is an article about Maurice Ostro and not about Collaboration House, a section about Collaboration House should be a short paragraph at most.
