Maurice E. Lagacé, with the Federal Court of Canada?

Since when?

A search of the Federal Court of Canada web site for "Maurice E. Lagacé" produces NO results, and that includes current and past judges.

This Wikipedia entry is coming up for him, even in Google. I think it would be a really good idea to clear this up.

There was a JUDGE MAURICE LAGACE at Quebec Superior Court; however, way back at the end of 2006 or in early 2007, I read a print article in which he had been interviewed upon his retirement.

Then there was a MAURICE LAGACE in Quebec City, a lawyer by training, who was a leader of the Communist Party in Quebec City; whose career path is otherwise unclear. There was a Coroner in Quebec City also called MAURICE LAGACE.

Somebody with access to a law library, at a local university, might drop in and ask the reference librarian for help in tracking down and "disambiguating" (?) one (Judge) MAURICE LAGACE from another. Perhaps there's more than one judge of that name, perhaps one is the son of the other, who knows? But currently, there is no "Maurice E. Lagacé" coming up at the Federal Court of Canada, past or present.

P.S. A FRENCH Wikipedia-style article indicates that the man is DEAD:

Says he died in 2006, that coincides with the date of the date of the print article I remember reading back then.

Note: it's unclear to my why that last reference is given, it only leads to a note on some other person, whose page does not mention Maurice E. Lagacé.

It would be interesting nonetheless to pursue this item and get the man a proper biography, including the names of his parents, in particular if Judge Maurice E. Lagacé happens to be a namesake for his father or an uncle who might have been a lawyer or a judge.

Anyway, get him out of English Google as fast as you can, he's not ALIVE and on the bench at the Federal Court of Canada, and never was!

I agree that he isn't currently serving with the court, but I did find an archived biography of the man from the Federal Court of Canada, and it says that this man served with the Superior Court of Quebec for a long time, to 2006. I updated the article accordingly. PKT(alk) 13:12, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
