Succession boxes edit

I don't think deleting a succession box improves the article, therefore I have restored it. While I have occasionally seen predecessor and successor details in infoboxes of UK politicians, I have nearly always seen this information contained in succession boxes. This is the first instance I have noted of an editor deleting this type of succession box for redundancy reasons. I think that edit represented a change to how the UK politics project has developed its presentation of UK politicians. If any editor feels that deleting sucession boxes is the way forward, they have a lot of work ahead of them both in implementing those changes and persuading other editors of the merit. Sorry, I saw this Wikipedia:Avoid template creep and I thought it applied here. --YUL89YYZ (talk) 14:46, 25 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • Support per nomination. There are four men listed upon the Maurice Alexander (disambiguation) page, with no indication that the Canadian-English barrister's historical renown has remained at such an elevated level that it overshadows the combined notability of the remaining three men. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 01:17, 31 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Strong support the wide receiver has 1,012 views, the safety has 629 and the Australian politician has 6 compared with only 41 for the barrister. Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:40, 31 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
