The citation provided for this is [1]. [2] is also linked to, however, neither link says exactly how much has been invested into Automattic. Is there supposed to be a way to infer this from sec.gov? TerraFrost 17:37, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

editI condensed the article a bit, giving it a more neutral tone and removing intricate detail. Please let me know if there are any concerns. K.e.coffman (talk) 05:09, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

Remove fake "honorific" CBBQTT
editI can't find any definition of what this is, except "chief BBQ taste tester" which while funny, is not useful in a place like this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.156.255.250 (talk) 21:20, 14 September 2022 (UTC)

editRTN56U (talk · contribs), which is responsible for much of the content of this page, is a single-purpose account that only ever edited this page in 2012. This is suggestive that the account owner may have had a personal connection to the topic, such as being an Automattic employee or perhaps even being the article subject himself. RTN56U was a model of ASUS router from 2011, but it could also just have been a keysmash. Apocheir (talk) 22:40, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
- A good chunk of the article was a laundry list of awards and speaking engagements. I removed those, and I adjusted the tone of other parts of the article. Absent any objection, I'm going to remove the notice at the top of the article in a week. HyperAccelerated (talk) 00:49, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
Possible "Controversies" section
editMullenweg is currently the subject of a scandal surrounding the website Tumblr.com and discriminatory moderation policies. Tumblr has previously received a lawsuit in the US for discriminatory moderation policies, so this may be more appropriate for Tumblr's own Wikipedia page instead? 2601:19B:D81:E50:90DF:94D1:B8A:4739 (talk) 16:09, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
- Certainly a mention on this page wouldn't go amiss, given that he's at the center of it, but I agree that the detail should be on the Tumblr article. Legowerewolf (talk) 17:01, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
- I respectfully disagree. I think that people often use Wikipedia to get a measure of a prominent individual and their behaviour. That should include any controversies, particularly those instigated by that individual. Thecolonpagesaretoocomplicated (talk) 19:40, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
Techcrunch article
edit[3] Leaving this here as a potential source for the latest controversy this guy got into the other day. I'm not adding it just yet, but it might be useful later (or to someone else, if they disagree with me and already think it warrants inclusion) --Licks-rocks (talk) 12:18, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
