Article Text Update 22nd Sept 2009 edit
The majority of the text entred here is an edit I did on the BBC News profile of Matt Baggott. Please feel free to change or add other sources. I merely added the text I did so that some information would be available on Wikipedia on the day of such an important appointment as head of the PSNI. Why has Baggott been promoted after failure? edit

Years of service states 1969 onwards. Cannot be right. Needs to be 1979?
