Doesn't this article sort of contradict itself by saying that Brad Pitt is a "Sex Symbol" and then lists Brad Pitt as one of the moderen matinee idol??

List

Is the list in this article anything more than someone's picks for good-looking celebs? Everyone without a reference should be eliminated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.72.123.57 (talk) 17:24, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

Since (apparently) the list was 'eliminated', the article would benefit from a short list of people who were matinee idols; e.g. Rudolph Valentino. The list could come from one or two published sources. Twang (talk) 18:00, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
