Mathoura Public School

edit

Mathoura is a nice small quiet town. It has 1 supermarket, 2 pubs, 1 pool and a little school. The school is probley the best school ever. I was captian of the school last year and i had the best experience of my life. We had the chance of meeting very important people.

Every two years the year 5/6 students go all the way up to A.C.T, and has the best fun.

And also every year between those years, they go to melbourne and spend the day at the zoo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.216.80.15 (talk) 21:26, 2 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Pronunciation

edit

I've looked in the Macquarie Dictionary and couldn't find this town's entry. So my question is to a local, how is its name pronounced: /məˈθæɔɹə/ (Muh-THOW-ruh) or /məˈθʉːɹə/ (Muh-THOOH-ruh)? – Marco79 18:20, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Muh-THOW-ruh, with THOW rhyming with cow, not bow. Once again, not a local but my uncle worked there for a few years. -- Mattinbgn\talk 21:27, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Cadell Fault and Green Gully

edit

Great new info on the above, but wondering if it would be better to incorporate those into their own articles? Eg Cadell Fault, and for Green Gully, perhaps the Murray article itself (though arguably, Green Gully might qualify as an article too)? I feel that the text here is a little heavy and not quite on topic for Mathoura itself. James.au (talk) 01:06, 25 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
