I have moved this here for now, if any of these awards are notable and can be sourced we can add them back.Theroadislong (talk) 12:26, 23 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

the chef patron of Osteria Francescana,

edit

The article is illiterate. One of the most hilarious statements is that "he is the chief patron of Osteria Francescana". A "patron" of a restaurant in English is someone who patronizes (i.e. eats at) a restaurant. Whoever wrote this obviously wanted to say something else. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.96.87.158 (talk) 12:02, 4 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Without commenting on the illiteracy or otherwise of the article as a whole and just picking up on the 'patron' point, it says (at the time of writing this, at any rate) chef patron (not chief); that's an industry term for an exec chef who is also the owner — see chef de cuisine. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:30, 26 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hagiography

edit

This article is ridiculously hagiographic. Especially the Awards section which suffers from multiple problems. 1. There are no sources. 2. It is not clear how notable these awards are. 3. Most of them are not awards directly given to Bottura, but instead to his restaurant, so would be better on the article for the restaurant. Ashmoo (talk) 14:17, 14 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
