The article fails to note that MPI is not a recognised disorder in any field of medicine. Nor does it cite the extensive criticisms of MPI spanning over a century. Mass Phsychogenic Illness (MPI - Anosognosia as a result of MFP/MPP/Stockholm) or Mass Formation Psychosis (MFP - Cults/Mass Hysteria leading to Mobbing) or Mass Polarization Psychosis (MPP - Larger Competing MFO Groups) are all in the same line of cult and or hostage defense research, they are recognized in many places as being related under a different title as Stockholm Syndrome and as a result Anosognosia . –Something Positive (talk) 09:57, 3 January 2022 (PST) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:601:CA80:B540:C953:B0F1:7CA5:55F3 (talk)

The article already states that 'It is not well understood and its causes are uncertain' and 'The DSM-IV-TR does not have specific diagnosis for this condition'.
