Talk:Mason–Weaver equation

I think that the discussion of a box shaped cell should be removed. The equation is 1D. It "assumes" that the cell is a line. - This page could also be connected to the Stokes velocity page. In Stokes equation diffusion is neglected, so it is the high (gravitational) Peclet number limit of the Mason-Weaver equation, right? - I presume this also connects to Jean Perrin's testing of Einstein's theory of Brownian motion by measuring the density of pollen grains as a function of height. - I would appreciate a conformation of all this by a better physicist than I.
