This article fails to give proper attention to the Maryknoll sisters.

I need a proper translation edit

I'd like to start the article on the Maryknoll Sisters in the Spanish language version of Wikipedia, but... what would be the exact translation of Maryknoll into Spanish? I know it's not "Marianas" because there is ALREADY another congregation with that name, but not in the US.

Does anyone know the Spanish equivalent to Maryknoll?--190.137.228.20 (talk) 02:17, 15 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

---There isn't a translation - Maryknoll is a place name. The Sisters' website uses "Las Hermanas de Maryknoll" as their Spanish name. BillyDinPVD (talk) 13:31, 14 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Clarification needed edit

Subtitle of "Founding and Expansion" gives date range of 1999-2000, then has statement "Fr. Price died in 2005, leaving only three missionaries in China" among dates generally in the early 20th Century, and does not explain who "Fr. Price" was. This is very confusing. Could someone please clean up the history? Oswald Glinkmeyer (talk) 11:58, 8 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Re-Write: POV edit

This article as stands at this moment is slanted to the Maryknoll brothers. The lede states the article is about all 3 organizations, but the brothers get the highest proportion of article space and the sisters a small mention, with their "main article" (basically a paragraph) shunted to a separate article space. But a quick Google search reveals that the Maryknoll sisters have plenty of news reports, including an extensive New York Times article, but the Maryknoll brothers have one recent news item - one of the members was dismissed from the order. It's time to balance this up, and that sisters' article folded back in. The article should be about what the lede says it is about, balanced by the POV of the reliable sources. I am going to take a pass at it as time allows. EBY (talk) 15:45, 8 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Orbis Books edit

Seems that Orbis Books should get a mention in this article somewhere.... natemup (talk) 16:11, 16 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
