HST218 Comments edit

I would appreciate it if members of Fall 2011 HST218 US Women's History Salem State University would comment on my first wikipedia entry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SSUProfessor (talkcontribs) 17:48, 29 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

I think this is a great article and will only improve with time and more contributors. Allybaster (talk) 21:01, 29 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Fascinating woman, would love to hear more about her personal life. Janeweaving (talk) 08:00, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Interesting woman who chose missionary work over other choices her education may have afforded her. Admirable. Blizzardbaby (talk) 20:50, 19 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Very well written. I would also like to know more about her personal life but I realize the time constraints for this assignment. Good job. Mlm957 (talk) 22:03, 19 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

She is a really interesting woman. I'm just curious what sorts of privileges she enjoyed with the Native Americans over others. Maybe that's something that can be elaborated on later? --Writeraeria (talk) 06:12, 22 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is an interesting article written in an engaging manner that is a pleasure to read. It does need copyediting for Wikipedia style, and most urgently, footnotes. I've posted a notice at the Women's HIstory project asking if any other members could help with that, as I'm unable to do so at the moment (possibly later today, though). Once the footnotes and copyediting issues are sorted out, I'd like to nominate it for a DYK with the hook Did you know that the missionary Mary Collins was the friend and correspondent of Sitting Bull? Yes, isn't it pleasant? I've also offered feedback but there seemed little point until the citations and footnotes are completed. That's a great DYK hook suggestion. Haploidavey (talk) 15:43, 5 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
I added some inline citations/footnotes but I didn't remove the tag because I think more could be added... I'm kinda new at this still, so I'm not sure how much is enough/overkill. dreaming iris (talk) 15:45, 6 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Drat. There's a draconian deadline of five days after creation to nominate something for a DYK. Cynwolfe (talk)

Thank you all for your edits and constructive criticism! Nickdifranco (talk) 21:52, 12 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
