Svartskalle/Blackhead

edit

Blackhead in english is a form of acne whereas "svartskalle" (eng. black head) in swedish is a pejorative referens (ethnic slur) to black people. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.182.49.156 (talk) 08:50, 30 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

This article belongs in the Swedish-language version of Wikipedia--not the English version.--Mumia-w-18 14:27, 1 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Why the Swedish language version? Martin Mutumba is an international football player. Very few people outside Sweden speak Swedish. I am VERY new at this so I could very likely have miss understood something.VsanoJ 19:01, 1 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
I could be wrong, but I'm having problems seeing why the article is on http://en.wikipedia.org . My primary problem is with the notability of the subject. Are you trying to create, on Wikipedia, a list of all international football players?-- Mumia-w-18 19:46, 1 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Of course I am not trying to create a wikipedia page for EVERY football player in the world. I would say that would be close to impossible. However, most Swedish footballers who play in the first division leagues allover Europe (raging from Sweden’s own league to England and Spain). I sadly fail to understand were you are coming from.

You can take a look at these pages for example? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIK_Fotboll http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aalesunds_FK http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stade_Rennais

Most Swedish players in all these three teams (a Swedish club, a Norwegian and a French club) have entries in English? Why should Mutumba not be allowed a page? What makes him such a lesser person of notice?

Since it is very likely that he could join Deportivo La Coruña, a quite major Spanish club, why should he not have a wikipedia page?? Goitom, another young Swedish player in Spain has a page! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henok_Goitom

Mutumba broke his leg and had to head to Finland to get his football career back in full swing. This also meant he was “under the radar” in many ways. Two friends of mine in Spain asked me who he was and I told them to do what they always do with new players, look them up on wikipedia. ..yes, they had done that. There was nothing about him on wikipedia.

So I thought I was just doing people interested in this player a favour?

As I stated before, I fail to understand why information about Mutumba has to be in the Swedish language wikipedia page. He has an entry on the finish language site, this means we only have roughly 6 million people in the world that can read that page. VsanoJ 01:28, 2 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

You made your argument. Have fun.-- Mumia-w-18 12:21, 4 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Why does it say that there are no references?? The external links in the text backs everything up.
