reasoning for paragraph removal (and re removal)

I remove a paragraph talking about some of Mr. Heinrich's voting record in [ http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Martin_Heinrich&diff=376149290&oldid=372298314 this edit] as part of an OTRS request to look at it (ticket). While the references obviously correctly list how he voted for a specific bill the paragraph itself was worded as opinion (apparently aimed against the Rep). "tended to vote along liberal lines", " controversial Disclose Act" etc. I ended up deleting the whole paragraph after not being able to come up with an easy way to make the paragraph neutral. There were concerns raised about the titling used for some of the acts as well (non official titles used to "slant" the discussion) but I decided not to worry about those at the time since they were being removed. If there can be an appropriately Neutral way to have some discussion on voting record then of course it can be included but just cherry picking votes to show a point isn't neutral. Removal of sourced info

There has been removal of sourced material from this page using the NPOV rational by Arbor8, I am starting this discussion so we can come to a consensus on the phrasing. The information is relevant, and the background of the ojito wilderness should be providedYourACoughDrop (talk) 01:32, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

To bring everyone up to speed, the basic disagreement is between the two versions of the section seen in this diff. Arbor8 (talk) 19:24, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

Policy Positions: Military

Arbor8, you deleted a sourced section claiming that it was "copletely [SIC] POV and non-RS" then said that you were "finding objective, relevant info." Fine. The "objective" info you used was a press release from the candidate's own Web site. How is that objective? (cur | prev) 20:07, 1 May 2012‎ Arbor8 (talk | contribs)‎ . . (19,520 bytes) (-1,034)‎ . . (→‎Tenure: actually, section was copletely POV and non-RS. finding objective, relevant info now...) (undo) Webteaparty (talk) 01:32, 2 May 2012 (UTC)

A candidate's website is a reliable source for a candidate's position on issues, which is what we're talking about here. Arbor8 (talk) 15:45, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
That doesn't answer the question about why you deleted the section that identified criticism the candidate received for changing positions on the national debt/ME wars and stating support for withdrawal of troops but then voting against the same objective. You said that you would find objective, relevant information about it. Are you doing that or will you undo your edit? Webteaparty (talk) 22:15, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
The relationship between armed services issues and the national debt were your synthesis and analysis. I said I'd find good info for a military issues section, and I did.Arbor8 (talk) 16:40, 5 May 2012 (UTC)
First, the section you deleted was not mine. Second, the section you deleted was about the candidate being criticized by reliable, secondary sources for taking contrary positions. One of those positions was related to the military, but the section was about flip-flopping. If you aren't going to rewrite it, then restore it.Webteaparty (talk) 16:21, 6 May 2012 (UTC)
Newsnewmexico.blogspot.com isn't a RS, not by a long shot. Arbor8 (talk) 19:25, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Ojito wilderness

I don't feel that the removal of material on the Ojito wilderness lobbying scandal is appropriate. All the material that I added came from reliable sources and accurately reflected what was in those sources. I was also careful to make sure that both sides of the debate, as written in those sources, was reflected with due weight in what I posted. I would like the removal of this content to stop.Organthief1949 (talk) 10:13, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Can you add your proposed addition below? Before we discuss, want to make sure we're all on the same page re: exactly what content we're talking about. Arbor8 (talk) 12:54, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
I am in the process of re-writing it. I thought things over and while I disagree with you about whether quotes from spokesman should be included in general, in this particular case the quotes are not informative and just take up space. I will come up with something heftier. There is a lot of material out there about this and it is a little bit hard to put it into one or two paragraphs. I will post it directly and then you change it as you feel necessary.Organthief1949 (talk) 11:50, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
Fair enough. Before making any substantial additions, though, please read WP:UNDUE. More than a paragraph or two about Ojito in the Heinrich article is certainly overkill. If it's that notable, and there's that much to say about it, then it should have it's own article. Arbor8 (talk) 16:12, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

Inaccuracies need cleaning up

This: A native of Cole Camp, Missouri is contradicted by Martin Trevor Heinrich was born in Fallon, Nevada. If he was born in Nevada, he is a native of Nevada, not Missouri.
