Thing is current cited source (Wikipedia is based on citing published sources) says 28 September 1982. I suggest you to wait for [newer] published reliable sources stating that date, or, ideally, explaining that discrepancy, which is not very important after all. Meanwhile, as a deference to this flux of single purpose IPs and user accounts editing this article against core verifiability guidelines, I've left the generic "September 1982".
