Sentence in second paragraph of introduction doesn't make sense

"Marketing managers are often responsible for influencing the level, timing, and composition of customer demand accepted definition of the term." Presumably, it should have been "Marketing managers are often responsible for influencing the level, timing, and composition of customer demand [according to the commonly] accepted definition of the term." It was added here during a noble attempt to clean up a painful version of the article. @Mild Bill Hiccup:, does that sound right? I know you've probably slept since that edit.
