Placque on bridge as a source? edit

Schuylkill Permanent Bridge, (1801-1875).

This placque on the current Market Street Bridge illustrates the first bridge, and gives the history of subsequent bridges. Can the plaque be used as a source? If so, how do I provide an inline citation? This is just one instance of places where placques on bridges or other structures provide historical information difficult to locate elsewhere. --DThomsen8 (talk) 15:59, 7 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
