Out of date edit

Out of date

This article is already out of date since they caught the serial shooter(s) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.54.15.191 (talkcontribs) 16:02, 5 August 2006‎ (UTC)Reply

Not out of date

Actually, these are two completely separate cases. The Baseline Killer is unrelated to the Serial Shooter. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.17.26.4 (talkcontribs) 13:51, 7 August 2006‎ (UTC)Reply

FYI: Possible break in case edit

Phoenix police get possible break in case

Useful in improving/updating the article. Thanks. --129.130.38.93 17:31, 7 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

"believed to be captured" not "captured" edit

The first line was incorrect. The correct information is that the Baseline killer or rapist is believed to be captured, moving it to passive tense is "was believed". The man arrested has not admited or convicted of the crime. There might be proof of the crime but we don't have conclusive proof on the site nor a link explaining why it MUST be him, so for now I changed it to "believed to be captured".Kinglink 21:34, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Clean Up Tag edit

I have added a clean up tag because I spotted two careless typographical errors in the first paragraph alone; and the other text I have examined in the article appears to be in need of proofreading and correcting. There seems to be a recurring problem with verb tense, as well as awkward phrasing. Just to pick one example, "On 4 September 2006, Phoenix police announced they've arrested a suspect. . . ." The word "they've" should not be used in a Wikipedia article; it is too informal. And, actually, the sentence would sound much better if rendered "On 4 September 2006, Phoenix police announced the arrest of a suspect. . . ." --Skb8721 21:51, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Let's clean it up! edit

I hope people will continue to research and edit this article. I've been doing my best to clean it up, but there aren't as many sources as I had hoped. Any suggestions on where to look for more details? Newspapers are my number one source, but those are becoming repetitive. Any chance that anyone has access or could get access to any legal documents for this case or the Serial Shooter case?

Article Cleanup Co-Ordination Point edit

Meaning of the name edit

The article doesn't answer the basic question. Why is he called the Baseline KillerKinglink (talk) 20:09, 14 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

The killings happened off of Baseline Road from what I can remember. - Stephoswalk (talk) 19:15, 16 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
That is correct, but I think we need this cited in the article. I can't find a solid link but someone who is more familiar with this case probably has something. It's just annoying as this is a great "first look" site, and this is something I feel should be on this site.Kinglink (talk) 22:48, 16 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've added an explanation of the name to the opening sentence, although it might be worded a bit awkwardly. - Stephoswalk (talk) 02:21, 17 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

www.markgoudeauinnocent.com edit

Is it entirely appropriate to mention/cite this website (www.markgoudeauinnocent.com) in regards to Mark's past "rape" charges considering that it was set up by his wife? It certainly doesn't seem neutral in that it states the "victim" is "unemployed" as thought that is pertinent and unless there is further evidence to support the site's claims I think it should be removed.

Image copyright problem with Image:Mark Goudeau.jpg edit

The image Image:Mark Goudeau.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

Sourcing needed on the DNA matters edit

The article has a detailed attack on the state's DNA expert and testimony at trial. All of that needs sourcing. It appears to be accurate, but needs transcript page numbers, or cites from newspaper articles. As is, it is completely unsourced and original research, right or not. Sentencing edit

He was sentenced to death: http://www.cnn.com/2011/11/30/justice/arizona-baseline-killer/?iref=obnetwork. 174.109.163.170 (talk) 13:10, 16 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Baseline KillerMark Goudeau – Shouldn't the article be changed to the person's name now that we know the person's name? Hoops gza (talk) 22:09, 15 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Support we did the same with the BTK killer and the Unibomber and I don't see anything different here. Barring good reason to doubt that this person is actually the killer I see no reason not to move the page.-174.93.164.125 (talk) 04:27, 16 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
