Fair use rationale for Image:Heads-will-roll-ep-20061020054000183.jpg
editImage:Heads-will-roll-ep-20061020054000183.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Removal of material from this source
editWhile copyediting, I removed some quotations, because they relied on sources that were not reliable. Per WP:BLP and WP:CITE#When quoting someone, such information should not be kept:
- Unable to find Spirit Magazine quote. Is this "Southwest Airlines Spirit Magazine"[1]? Is that a reliable source? There is also a POV issue here - is this how Atlantic Records see things? It's unlikely both parties see eye-to-eye in the matter of a contract breakup. Unless a balancing quote or reference can be found, quoting like this will always unbalance the article.
- The Plan quote was from Raven's Myspace page, which is suitable only for material that is "relevant to the notability of the subject of the article" (WP:SPS); whether Raven donates to Plan is not relevant to her notability as a musician.
- Korg quote - Korg.com is not a reliable source, excepting information about the Korg company and its products.

Also, I'm concerned about the reliability of some of the other references, especially for BLP material:
- fansites?
- http://www.marion2u.com/ - described as a fansite in an external reference (now deleted per WP:ELNO). Fansites are pretty much never acceptable sources.
- http://www.m2m-australia.com/ - now defunct but archives [2] strongly suggest it was a fansite.
- http://www.marionmania.com - another dead site, archives [3] suggest fansite.
- not reliable?
- http://www.3am.com.cn/MusicData_Artist.aspx?artist=Marion+Raven&parent=M&ischinese=0 - comes up with a very empty-looking page in Chinese; no idea but I'm not encouraged by what else I see here. Archives look the same.
- http://www.annecarlini.com/ - unable to find much third-party information aboiut this source to determine its reliability.
- http://acharts.us/ - offshoot of blog site MusicSquare.
- commercial company site
- http://store.motleystore.com/marion-001.html - this is a Motley Crue site; unless the information was about them (I've been unable to verify), it's not a reliable resource
- http://www.gibson.com/ only reliable about their products and services, not award nominations.
- http://www.smarttix.com/ - advertising blurb associated with ticket sales is not a reliable source.
- Probably OK but possibly not most reliable
- http://www.norway.org.uk, http://www.norway.org - Norway "official site in the United States/UK" - but how authoritative are the editors on popular music matters?
- http://www.theurbanwire.com/ - Student run entertainment magazine (this one may be very good, but I can't see many references to it on Google)
- http://www.hiponline.com/ - "music biographies, reviews & interviews", but I can't find much detail except a small handful of references on Google Books.
Any comments on these sources? Any better ones to suggest? --Rogerb67 (talk) 12:25, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
