It seems to me that MMPA was also ammended in 1988, if the following publishings are correct

Requested move 9 September 2016

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: Move. to Marine Mammal Protection Act. I'll add hat notes to both this and Marine Mammals Protection Act, which, as noted below, will replace the need for a dab page per WP:TWODABS. Cúchullain t/c 20:22, 16 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972Marine Mammal Protection Act – Currently, Marine Mammal Protection Act is a disambiguation page with two links: one to this page, the US law, and one to Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, which is just a redirect to Marine Mammals Protection Act, the New Zealand law. If this move were done, there would be no need for a disambiguation page, just the two articles, each with an {{about}} link to the other. Hgrosser (talk) 04:12, 9 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

edit

Findings Section

edit

There are no sources referenced or cited to properly support what is being represented in the Findings section of this article. Referencing specific research statistics or other sources is needed in order to conclude anything being stated in this section is at all factual. Paraphrasing

edit

There appears to be signs of very close paraphrasing of information throughout the article. This is especially apparent in the Authority section where certain sentences match up exactly with what is written in the source cited in the References section of this article with only slight changes in wording.Skduke125 (talk) 20:31, 21 April 2022 (UTC)Skduke125Reply

Quotations without Citations or References

edit

In the Authority section of this article, there are sentences quoted regarding what defines "take" and "harassment" but there is no citation included within this paragraph nor could I find where these quotations were taken from in the source included in the References section. This raises concerns of lack of properly citing sources as it is necessary to properly cite all sources used in a proper References section.Skduke125 (talk) 20:48, 21 April 2022 (UTC)Skduke125Reply
