Resignation

Name
editWhy is the name spelled with an accent? The spelling Marí, which is now used in the article, is clearly in violation of the rules of accents in Portuguese. His official biography in Portuguese refers to him as Mari Alkatiri. Since it cannot be a Portuguese spelling, what is the rationale for that accent? --AngelRiesgo 15:34, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- Good point, as does the Portuguese wiki. A-giau 15:26, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- It seems quite clear to me that it must be a mistake, so I have changed it in the article. I haven't been able to move the page, though, so I have added a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves. --AngelRiesgo 14:05, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
False Link
editThe link from refererence 8, is incorrect and possibly mischievious, possibly dangerous.

Nationality?
editHow can the (former) Prime Minister of Timor Leste be nationally an Arab? There is no country called "Arabia" so one cannot have the "nationality" "Arab". His ethnicity may be Arabian... Corrected 14/10/2009

Proof for Arab descent claim?
edit"He is Hadhrami Arab by ethnicity and comes from the Al-Kathiri tribe a branch of which was also the Royal family of Hadhramaut that is now part of Yemen."
Although this may be true, we need sources to prove it since this sentence lacks any citations to be deemed accurate. Akmal94 (talk) 19:09, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
