Historians and genealogists are uncertain as to the identity of Alison FitzEustace's mother. Her father Rowland FitzEustace married three times. His first wife was Elizabeth Brune; the second, Joan Bellew, whom he married in about 1463, is the wife considered most likely to have been her mother. His third wife, Margaret Dartas is highly unlikely to have mothered Alison, considering he married her after 1467, and Alison's daughter, Eleanor was born in about 1482. Are there any editors who possess well-sourced information which positively identifies Joan Bellew as the mother of Alison?--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 08:48, 22 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
