I have had personal communication with the subject of this article. Communications regarded the creation of the article. Though I do not personally know this scholar, and I do not receive any obvious or direct benefits from creating this article, I was asked to make an article for and about this scholar. I am doing so as service to the academic discipline and to benefit Wikipedia. I have received no direct or in-kind compensation (money, favors, support, or other possibly actions beneficial to my career).
