2009-10 GP2 Asia Series

Could somebody confirm the reference? This has not been mentioned in Swedish media, or by Marcus Ericsson himself, even though he's frequently mentioned in Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. --Chrill (talk) 11:05, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Sub-sub-section Caterham (2014)

A sub-section, Caterham (2014), of sub-section, Formula One, of section, Career, was created. After this was created the sub-sub-section Caterham (2014) had two sentences and the sub-section Formula One had three sentences. Based on this fact, I reverted the edit so that it was two short paragraphs in the sub-section Formula One. The original editor came back and restored it back to these two short sub-sections. Bringing it here to see if anyone thinks the sub-sub-section should remain or if it should be combined back into the sub-section. GB fan 21:43, 21 January 2014 (UTC)

Year of birth

IP editors keep changing Ericsson's year of birth to 1991. Are there any reliable sources specifying his year of birth as 1991? The following sources specify his year of birth as 1990: oldracingcars.com, driverdb.com, racing-reference, FORIX (subscription site). DH85868993 (talk) 06:39, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

No, according to Swedish wikipedia they are apparently changing it because he had a change of address in 1991, so because of that for whatever reason some people believe he was born in 1991 when in fact it was just an address change. But everything points towards him being born 1990. --TylerBurden (talk) 10:40, 6 November 2021 (UTC)

@TylerBurden: I'm not so sure it has anything to do with an address change. It's an LTA located in Rio. Here is an example from this article. [1] [2] Their m.o. is changing birth years and changing English words to Portuguese, like the birth month for example. The vandal had targeted the pages Josef Newgarden, Valtteri Bottas (very active on Bottas in fact), and James Hinchcliffe as well, and maybe a couple other drivers...can't remember. They were active for at least two years 2019-2021, but don't seem to be doing much lately. Here's a brief discussion about it on my talk page from last year. --DB1729 (talk) 00:56, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
@DB1729: Thanks for the heads up, yea the address issue is a thing on the Swedish Wikipedia, here like you said there is evidently a Rio based LTA. Since that reply in November, I've seen that first hand and been informed about it. They seem to still be sporadically active, last time on this article a couple of months ago in April seen here. I really wish people like that would find something better to do with their time. TylerBurden (talk) 01:06, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
Understood. I missed that one in April. Thanks. I guess they are still more or less active. I will continue to keep to eye out then. DB1729 (talk) 01:16, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
The Rio LTA has also been known to hit James Hinchcliffe, Josef Newgarden, Valtteri Bottas and Chris Buescher, for reference. -"Ghost of Dan Gurney" 14:02, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
Thanks. And Matt DiBenedetto [3]. Buescher and DiBenedetto I believe were the two I was thinking of, but couldn't recall. I think those are all the targets I'm aware. Also noting that some IPs geolocate to Sao Paulo. --DB1729 (talk) 14:14, 2 June 2022 (UTC)

Formula One season summaries

I believe the season summaries in this article need to be updated to abide by WP:NPOV. Especially the seasons in Sauber (2015-2019) seem at times like they are worded by a fan who is more interested in claiming his superiority to Felipe Nasr than to give an objective summary of those same seasons. Example in the 2016 summary; "He ran close to points in Malaysia and Suzuka, thrashing his teammate in qualifying and the race." In general the wording on things feel like it needs updating, since it contains terms like Max Verstappens engine "blowing up", or "another disappointing retirement due to the gearbox". Still, I want to see if others agree before making any changes. Let me know what you think. Spookysquid (talk) 07:34, 17 October 2022 (UTC)

@Spookysquid I agree there was definetely some NPOV issues there, I made some edits to try and make the text more neutral. TylerBurden (talk) 10:04, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
@TulerBurden Thanks :) I made some further edits to increase the neutrality in that section. Spookysquid (talk) 19:47, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
