Talk:March 2013 Australian Labor Party leadership spill

Does this really need its own page? There was no vote. Surely this can be covered in the Gillard and Rudd pages or possibly some Gillard/Rudd rivalry page. Tigerman2005 (talk) 03:24, 6 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

I think it really does - it's a fairly crucial part of the story of the Rudd-Gillard wars, and that isn't diminished by the fact that it failed. It's especially timely in that it bears a lot of resemblance to what looks like happening with the LP this week, a connection which isn't and won't get missed by the press. The event might be of note in the overall story (I agree) but on its own I don't think there is a need for a stand alone article. I just think it could be easily folded in to another article. As it is there is basically 2 lines of information. Crean called a spill motion. Nobody nominated so Gillard stayed on as PM. As I suggested perhaps a Rudd-Gillard conflict page might be a goer.
