What good does it do to post a Wikify request without indicating what the supposed nonconformities are? Is somebody supposed to guess what the requester had in mind, take care of that, and then remove the request banner without having any idea whether he's fixed the alleged deviation?
To whom it may concern: I can't do it but a photo is super easy to find, there are plenty in the external links. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Novice2008 (talk • contribs) 03:29, 18 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I noticed where some anonymous IP de-linked several names/articles. I feel it is better to have most names linked for several reasons. First, if someone is new to Wikipedia and this is the first article read, the links could provide more info that the newbie might want to investigate. Secondly, if I am reading an article and should suddenly come across a name like Jimmy Carter, I might want to read his article if it strikes my fancy. Thirdly, for someone not familar with Vicente Fox, this might be that introduction. Each article should be viewed like a book that wants to be read - by providing more links, one can easily "thumb" to other articles of their choice. Ronbo76 04:49, 5 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

At the Admin's notice board. User:Sabrinaalvarez says that she is an assistant to the subject of this article, has been asked to get the article right, and requests help. I'd like to welcome User:Sabrinaalvarez to Wikipedia, and to commend her for declaring her (in Wikipedia terms) conflict of interest. The short answer to the request is that User:Sabrinaalvarez should list the edits they suggest on this talk page, with the reliable third-party links that will substantiate the points, and ask independent editors to make appropriate changes. I will keep this page on my watchlist for a week or two at least, and will hope to oblige. Richard Keatinge (talk) 09:13, 3 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Richard Keatinge: It's not as simple as that, to be honest. I came across this page while patrolling AIV; Sabrinaalvarez had set off edit filters. I warned instead of blocking, and reverted their edits. They came to my talk page, and said they had been asked to fix the page: I explained to them about COI, and asked them to come here or go to OTRS. They went to ANI instead, and have asked the same questions. At the same time, after seeing their claim, I came to this page to see if there were BLP issues with it; instead, it looks like mostly NOTPROMO issues, even in the version before Sabrinaalvarez came to the article. So I tagged it, since I have no time or inclination for cleanup. But it certainly needs attention. Vanamonde (talk) 09:27, 3 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
I'd noticed, thanks. I'm trying to keep it positive with a newbie who has been honest about a COI. Richard Keatinge (talk) 13:11, 3 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
I took a quick machete to it. EEng 13:16, 3 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
