I have just spent 40 minutes trying to copy IPA from the OED to this article. I failed. The IPA templates don't want to understand the a in /ˌmandəˈlɪn/, nor the l̩ in /ˈmandl̩ɪn/, changing the latter to look the same as /ˈmandəlɪn/. I've left the quotes without the IPA links. If anybody can fix this (and tell me what I did wrong), I'd be grateful.
