International Human Rights Organization has also concluded that Manbir Singh Chaheru was killed by police after taking him out of judicial lock up.[1]

IHRO link dead, and efforts to use it as a wp:RS were not successful. - sinneed (talk) 01:21, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Damdami Taksaal web page - won't meet wp:RS IMO... I know of no reason not to use it as a wp:EL

edit

Excellent site. But it has a specific wp:PoV which I expect will prevent it from finding much support for meeting wp:RS. It might be worth an RfC or a taking to the RS page.- sinneed (talk) 01:30, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Kindly do so, i am not very familiar with that process. Lets try saving the references if we can. --99.51.223.161 (talk) 01:34, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
No indeed. I will be one of the ones who argues it should not even be considered. It fails wp:NPoV... therefore it can't be a wp:RS.- sinneed (talk) 01:39, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Unless someone comes along and challenges its use as a wp:EL, the reference is safe.- sinneed (talk) 01:42, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard is the spot to go for community input on sources.- sinneed (talk) 02:02, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
With due respect, why did you delete section on 'Daily Burning Punjab'?, if it was here for you only then I would have typed it in your own talk page, but! I had created it here so that others could get a chance to reply as well. By deleting it, you have taken this chance away from rest of the wiki editors. Also! kindly do not take me negatively, 'typed text was not to sway your mind. Its sole purpose was to show the "value/importance of Khalistan movement related articles" Verses "value/importance of available references" only. And the reasons that if we kill available references then we might end up killing this part of history as well, as hundereds of thousands of victims were killed[1]. --99.51.223.161 (talk) 02:33, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • Please reconsider your approach. See wp:talk - you are wandering far from the purpose of the page.
  • "why did you delete section on 'Daily Burning Punjab'?" - I did not. Perhaps you are thinking of this at KCF.- sinneed (talk) 02:53, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • Please make use of the History] for each page in Wikipedia. It will show you who made changes, and what they said about them. By clicking a couple of options, you can see specifically what is done, and perhaps find yourself less confused and frustrated.- sinneed (talk) 02:55, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • Wikipedia cannot assess value. It cannot assess truth or falsehood. It can only assess what does or does not appear in the wp:RS. Everything that belongs on the web, that does not appear in wp:RS, belongs on some other web site.- sinneed (talk) 02:58, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Regarding signing in/creating some type of account, I am using a shared wireless connection in some community where a lot of people live. Please do not mind, I believe that you were mistakenly making some errors and (since I liked north Indian subjects) so I thought to help you and 'get help in improving these articles. I didn't ever imagine, but I ended up spending all my time to find you references. You were simply judging/killing or keeping the references (that too in fractions of seconds), but please think about another poor editor who ended up wasting his days and nights in searhing, reading thousands of sources to select/narrow down to extremely few NPOV references to present to you. Believe me, I couldnt even sleep well. I did not have time to do anything other than finding you references. I had a different idea about wiki, I am disappointed now that why you/others could not find the references and why some respected editors want want to rule/check only and why we all do not contribute in a shared way. Why we all do not type nicely. Why people do not understand someone's honesty and why we look negatively only.....Hmmmmm... I would like to go back to my life for some time, it made my life too tough --99.51.223.161 (talk) 02:33, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I was afraid of this The links to the searches age out. It is essential to actually cite the book (especially name and ISBN if possible)... the link is great in terms of immediate information, but it won't last.- sinneed (talk) 05:03, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Anon editor added: "16 other armed court guards cowered in fear. As per police statement, the sentries were too terrified to fire back. Attackers also took away three rifles and a submachine gun of the slain officers"

This seems far from the topic of Manbir Singh Chaheru...disrespectful of the guards, living and dead...and wp:trivia. I won't cut it again if it is readded, but I object mildly to its inclusion.- sinneed (talk) 13:39, 24 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
