Takes more than 2 hours from Kathmandu
editIn my personal experience (having driven to the temple more than 3 times in the past 5 or so years), it takes more than 2 hours to go there. I'm not sure about the distance estimate of 95 kilometers, but it definitely takes about 4-5 hours. I (like most people) would start driving at 6 or 7 am, and arrived there at 11 or 12 pm. The drive back would take a similar amount of time (3 pm to about 8 pm).
Re: Takes more than 2 hours
editI agree with you that it takes more than 2 hours but 5 hours is a lot too. I think, with better roads lately, the ride is less than 3 hours.
Have information but no reference
editThere is a lot of information I know about Manakamana, the place and the cable car. However, due to lack of references, I am not able to add them to the article. It would be encouraging if someone could find some good reference.
Info from manakamana private ltd.
editI added information about the temple and the cable car from the website of mankamana private ltd.
