Rename/Move edit

I am 42 and spent the first half of my life in Northern Nigeria. I have never heard him referred to as "Muhamman" Shata. Newspapers, articles, on the street, on TV; never. I would like to mov — iFaqeer (talk to or email me) 16:12, April 2013 (UTC)

Muhamman ShataMamman Shata – There is no evidence anywhere that the artist is/was ever referred to as Muhamman Shata. Even the references already provided call him Mamman Shata. A simple Search Engine Test will bear this out. Also, the article itself does not refer to him with the title of the article in any place. Ditto the listing in Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography.

  • Support - the abbreviated form is much more common in sources, however some sources do use the full spelling. (this article needs a big clean up since 2009, more important than RM) In ictu oculi (talk) 18:27, 25 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
