Talk:Mallows's Cp

Notation

My texts seem to use Cp, rather than Cp, except once in an index. Any objections to doing this in the text? I don't know how to treat the article title sensibly. Melcombe (talk) 13:15, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Question

Does Mallows' Cp can just be applied to compare nested linear regressions? Re444 (talk) 23:22, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Article name

edit

This article should be entitled “Mallows' Cp” rather than “Mallows's Cp”. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.154.36.38 (talk) 02:15, 31 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Both are accepted styles, but the one used in this article, “Mallows’s”, agrees with the titles of the two references that have his name in the title. We have to do it the way the literature does. Loraof (talk) 17:48, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
