Malia O Ka Malu or Our Lady of Peace is an appellation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Hawaiian language and an official title of the motherchurch of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Honolulu, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace. Similar Marian titles have been given to Hawaiian churches honoring Maria Lanakila or Our Lady of Victory in Lahaina, Malia Hoku O Ke Kai or Mary the Star of the Sea in Kahala and Malia Puka O Ka Lani or Mary the Gate of Heaven in Hilo.

@Thnidu:, just to note the "World Heritage Dictionary" is a mirror of Wikipedia, not the other way around. They do a very poor job of executing the necessary attribution, but at the bottom of each page there is a link back to the "citational source", which is the article here. Translations needed for proper description

Malia O Ka Malu is clearly "Maria [something]",* not literally "Our Lady of Peace"— maybe "Maria the Peacemaker"?; I don't know. Malia o ka Malu Hale Pule Nu is "Maria [something longer]". Can a Hawaiian-speaker please provide accurate translations for these names?

* Hawaiian has no /r/ sound and substitutes /l/ for it in loanwords.

I'm not Hawaiian, but I am a speaker of Māori, a closely related language. Here's my take: Malia o Ka Malu = Maria of (the) peace; Malia o Ka Malu Hale Pule Nui: Cathedral (of) Maria of (the) peace.
