Ancestry edit

Concerning, "Research done by historian Henry Louis Gates Jr. revealed that one of his maternal grandmothers was a Jamaican 'free woman of color'"...

Sorry, how may maternal grandmothers does one get? Convit (talk) 18:48, 6 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

The source says "maternal ancestors", so I made the change. As an aside, having a maternal grandmother born more than 120 years before he was born is quite a stretch. Guettarda (talk) 19:18, 6 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

This essay was my first introduction to Gladwell and his unique approach to writing. It also was stellar commentary against many myths associated with the causes of obesity. It would be great to see it listed and discussed. I'm not nearly eloquent enough to be the one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8800:D80:3040:9D69:1AE8:6EE3:B5C2 (talk) 21:38, 6 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Restructure for Transparency edit

Malcom Gladwell is a hugely influential public and has many credible detractors. Given his influence this page should be restructured to debunk more thoroughly the opinion he has woven as science. 2600:100F:B1A1:4ACB:6CD4:620A:A742:12FA (talk) 01:07, 20 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

providing sources would be helpful instead of a general "it exists, go google it yourself" handwave --ChromaTalK 19:40, 4 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Douglas Murray did a fine job of gutting him, perhaps linking to that debate? 98.234.219.162 (talk) 04:36, 10 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
