Is Make Votes Matter really "political"? edit

The first sentence of the Wiki article says MVM is a political pressure group. Shouldn't this say "a democracy pressure group"? MVM assiduously avoids preference or support for any political party. It is completely focused on bringing about a Westminster voting system that will ensure each party's parliamentary seats will closely mirror the proportion of votes they receive, so the voters will get the parliament they collectively voted for. MVM actively promotes this idea across the entire political spectrum, from the Reform Party to the Trade Unions, including all the political parties in between. Their goal is votes of equal impact for every voter and a level playing field for the political parties to compete on in general elections. This is about a better democracy, not politics. It therefore seems misleading to call MVM 'political'. In the everyday sense of the word 'political', that is not true. Micjawber (talk) 13:49, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
