Talk:Mainland, Shetland

Latest comment: 6 years ago by InternetArchiveBot in topic External links modified

Title edit

The name of the island is Mainland - as used on OS maps and in usage in Shetland. I propose moving this to Mainland, Shetland . Any comments? --JBellis 17:11, 15 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Happy to support this. Ben MacDui (Talk) 20:15, 15 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Map edit

There are two problems with the map on this page. First is that the Northmavine peninsular to the north is not highlighted making it look like a seperate island. It is in fact part of Mainland. Also it says the Shetland is a Crown Dependency of the UK. This status is reserved for the Isle of Man and Channel Isles. Shetland is an integral part of the UK. I'm not sure how to change these. Fixed the above problems by switching the image to the one used on the Mainland stub articles. Toloc (talk) 12:58, 23 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Possible DYK edit

Wow, at 76 words this is a great candidate for a 5x expansion and DYK nomination. Casliber (talk · contribs) 08:37, 6 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
