This might help expand our history of mail delivery by truck: In 1954, Twin Coach Manufacturing of Kent, Ohio, delivered the first mail trucks for individual home delivery to the Warren, Ohio, Post Office.I was working my way through college as a carrier and was selected as one of five carriers to inaugurate this service.A front page picture in the Warren Tribune Chronicle

This may be too detailed and US centric to include, but what about adding a sentence about how many modern postal vehicles (this is the case in the US but I can't speak for other countries) are either converted to right hand drive for postal use using a second steering wheel and set of pedals, or are right hand drive imports from other countries such as Japan.
