I think this article has been properly moved from "Mahan" to "Mahan confederacy." however, there is a question of consistency, as "Gaya" had been recently moved to "Gaya Confederacy" (capitalized c), & Byeonhan & Jinhan remain without the word "confederacy." i tend to think all of them should be named "x confederacy" (uncapitalized), as confederacy was not a part of their name, afaik. also, maybe Samhan should be renamed Samhan confederacies? challenging newly added section

It's clear to me that the new section that was added seven days ago, "Common etymologies of the Mahan Confederation and the Gojoseon Kingdom," is not proper historical scholarship and needs to be removed. The section claims that the names "Gojoseon" and "Mahan" are not native in origin but rather are biblical and European. It cites no outside, independent sources to support this claim and offers only a disjointed attempt to connect the two names to names in biblical scripture and Byzantine text that have alphabet letters in common. Clearly this is a biased attempt to impose Judeo-Christian history onto completely unrelated places and times.

I'm not experienced with this kind of situation on Wikipedia and was reluctant to simply delete the section and start a one-on-one squabble with its creator--at least not yet. For now I've tagged the section for NPOV reasons and ask that others please review the section. If it remains after 30 days I will remove it myself.

Culture section

I think it would be wise to add some sort of link or reference for the Records of the Three Kingdoms reference in the Culture section. The original text is this:

And it belongs to volume 30 of the Book of Wei. I'm not sure where the translation used was sourced from, but given that said translation is a little... hard to read, I think it would be a good idea to add that link with one of those little numbers so that people can find the original. List of Mahan confederacy monarchs

This list has only 9 entries, much shorter than the list of statelets. Recently renamed Category:Monarchs of the Mahan confederacy proposed renaming the list as well, but simpler to merge it back into this main article.
