The result of the move request was: moved to Magnificent frigatebird. No consensus to treat it differently from other birds. Favonian (talk) 17:46, 24 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • This move was requested in a long list of routine decapitalizations, but this seems to be a special case: ref old discussion quoted here. Some say that the Magnificent Frigatebird is not the same as any frigatebird which happens in someone's opinion to be magnificent. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 08:37, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • Mav. That was an incorrect move. It's the Magnificent Frigatebird, not a magnificent frigatebird. Like the Brown Rat isn't the brown rat. Mintguy
  • Ok. I'm wrong. I understand now (probably), I've always been confused about when to use capitalization. Mintguy
  • Actually it's Magnificent Frigatebird and brown rat. The capitalization of common names rule only technically applies to birds. --Aranae 05:22, Dec 21, 2004 (UTC)

this should really be move to the technical request section since there have been at least dozens of articles of this type moved in the last few days and I don't see how this one is different.--70.49.80.26 (talk) 01:13, 18 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
